Roof snow removal and shoveling in Hailey, Ketchum and Sun Valley
We rake the eaves after big storms so the meltwater ends up on the ground instead of in your ceiling, and we clear the driveway, walk and steps so you can get in. Prepaid, booked online, done while you're away.
- Roof rake $150 single story, $225 two story. Shoveling $85 a storm.
- Season Pass $1,200: every storm over 3 inches, Nov–Mar, no calling.
- Eaves, valleys, vents and icicles. We don't walk roofs and we don't do full clears.
How much does roof snow removal cost in Hailey, Ketchum and Sun Valley?
$150 for a single-story roof, $225 for two story, per visit. Shoveling the driveway, walk and steps is $85 per storm, or $1,200 for a Season Pass that covers every storm over 3 inches.
Prices are on the booking page and don't change when someone sees the house. Book a rake and shoveling together and we do both in one visit.
What is roof raking and why does it matter here?
Roof raking pulls the snow off the bottom few feet of the roof so meltwater runs off the edge instead of refreezing into an ice dam that pushes water back under your shingles.
The valley gets the exact conditions ice dams need: heavy snow, warm sunny afternoons, and nights well below zero. Snow melts over the warm part of the house, runs down, and freezes solid at the cold eaves. The next melt has nowhere to go but up under the roofing and into the ceiling. Raking the eaves after big storms is the cheapest way to stop it. Clean gutters in the fall help too; book gutter cleaning before the snow if you haven't.
What's included in a roof snow visit?
Raking the first 4 to 6 feet above the eaves on all sides, clearing roof valleys and around vents and chimneys, knocking down icicles, and a photo when we're done.
- Done from the ground with extended roof rakes where possible, from a ladder where needed. We don't walk snowy roofs.
- Snow we pull down gets cleared from walkways and in front of doors, so you don't trade a roof problem for a path problem.
- Dryer, furnace and plumbing vents checked and cleared. A buried furnace vent is the one that actually hurts people.
How does the Season Pass work?
$1,200 prepaid covers shoveling of your driveway, walk and steps after every storm of 3 inches or more, November through March, without you calling. Season Pass customers also go first for roof raking.
This is built for the house that sits empty between visits. You fly in on a Friday in February and the driveway is clear because we were there Tuesday. For a valley winter that's usually 12 to 20 visits, which is why the pass is priced where it is.
Fourteen inches overnight in Hailey. Season Pass driveways get cleared starting at 6 a.m. in the order they're on the route. A two-story in Gimlet that booked a roof rake gets the eaves and the valley over the garage done the next morning: $225, photo sent, icicles gone.
Who is this not for?
Full roof clearing, metal roofs that shed on their own, three-story homes, and commercial lots. We do eaves, valleys, vents, driveways and walks.
If you're not sure which you need, text us a photo of the roof. We'll tell you whether a rake will do it or whether it's a job for a roofing crew with harnesses.

Questions people ask about snow
How much snow on the roof is too much?
There's no single number; it depends on the roof and whether the snow is dry powder or wet March concrete. The practical rule: if there's more than two feet on the eaves, or you can see icicles forming along the gutter line, book a rake. Icicles mean meltwater is already backing up.
Do you clear the whole roof?
No. We rake the first 4 to 6 feet up from the eaves, which is where ice dams form, and clear the valleys and around vents. Clearing a whole roof is a different job that needs fall protection; text us and we'll tell you who to call.
How fast can you come after a storm?
Season Pass customers are first, usually same day or next morning. Per-storm bookings go in the order they come in, normally within 48 hours of the storm ending.
Do you shovel too?
Yes. Driveway, walk and steps, cleared and salted, $85 per storm. Or a Season Pass at $1,200 and we come after every storm over 3 inches without you doing anything.
What counts as a storm for the Season Pass?
Three inches or more of new snow at your house. We track it; you don't have to call. If you think we missed one, text us.
Do I need to be home?
No. We need to be able to get to the eaves and the driveway. Cars in the driveway get shoveled around.
What's the cancellation policy?
Per-storm bookings: full refund up to 48 hours before your window, 50% inside 48 hours. Season Pass is prepaid for the season and not refundable after the first storm.
